For both tactical and rescue scenarios, this thermal camera-equipped drone system is a valuable tool for finding targets and delivering lifesaving payloads. With folding arms, it packs into a small box and deploys fast. The aircraft is equipped with a GPS controlled autopilot that makes flight easy and training minimal. The pilot simply navigates the aircraft and the GPS-enabled autopilot maintains level flight-- even in high winds, and if needed, the autopilot can even perform complete autonomous missions and automatically land the aircraft. Simply select a point or series of waypoints on the included Google maps app and aircraft will fly there!
To aid in quick location of fleeing suspects or even a lost child, the SAR drone utilizes two forward facing cameras. The forward camera array includes a conventional video camera and an IR thermal camera that works in any lighting conditions. On the fly, pilots can tilt camera to the perfect angle and toggle between them for the very best live information. The live video feed can be viewed over one mile away, shared with any number of ground teams and even uplinked via cellular to remote locations. Once a target is acquired, a third, downward facing camera comes into play allowing for an extremely accurate payload drop. Payload capacity is up to six pounds and can be almost anything such as a life vest, lead line for a cliff or swift water rescue, ammunition for pinned officers, or even diversionary devices.
This drone system is available in field ready systems and can be fully customized to meet agencies specific requirements.
